CQ Level 2 Safe use of Medication for Small Animals
About the qualification
Level 2 in Safe Use of Medication in Small Animals is designed for those who have some knowledge and basic skills in working with veterinary medicines. The qualification is aimed at allowing learners to work safely and legally within current legislative restrictions.
The key purposes of the qualification are:
- To give learners the opportunity to learn basic skills surrounding the supply of veterinary medicines to support the veterinary team and clients
- To enable learners to develop a deeper understanding of the legislation surrounding veterinary medications.
The programme will predominantly focus on theoretical learning, but will also require the learners to reflect upon their knowledge and skills. There are practical work-based learning outcomes which are incorporated throughout the syllabus.
